Celia Arrington graduated from Howard University in Washington, DC, with her Bachelors of Science Degree. She has completed several courses in Biblical Studies at the National Bible College in Fort Washington, Maryland, where she also served as an English teacher. She completed a Hermeneutics course from Wesley Theological Seminary and has also obtained several certificates from attending Bob Jones University teacher training classes. Ms. Arrington faithfully served at National Christian Academy for 23 years in both teacher and supervisory positions. She joyfully joined the staff here at GBCS for the 2017-2018 school year.

Mrs. Athlea Kinyanjui graduated from Carver Bible College in Atlanta GA. She earned a BBE (Bachelor of Biblical Education). She attended graduate school at Capital Bible Seminary in Lanham MD, and then gained acceptance into the prestigious Dallas Theological Seminary.
Mrs. Kinyanjui has an ACSI teacher certification and has been an educator in Christian schools for over twenty years. She currently serves as the Early Childhood Department Chair. In 2022, Mrs. Kinyanjui was selected as Teacher of the Year.

Joyce Rivers is a 1988 graduate of Norwich University, the Military College of Vermont. Miss Rivers attended the nation's oldest private military college on an Army ROTC scholarship and completed her four-year degree program in three years. Upon graduation, Rivers was commissioned in the United States Army Intelligence Corps and served four years on active duty in the Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM) during Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm. After her initial active duty service obligation was complete, and sensing God's call to Christian education, Rivers transitioned to the Army Reserve where she served as an Intelligence and Civil Affairs Officer in the Special Operations Command. Simultaneously, she began preparing for a ministry in Christian teaching. Rivers taught at Northstar Christian Academy in Rochester, N.Y. from 1995-2000, when she was recruited by her alma mater to return as Assistant Commandant of Cadets and Director of Military and Veteran Student Affairs. She was reactivated during the Global War on Terrorism, serving at Fort Bragg, N.C., and then returning to the Military College at Norwich University where she continued to serve for almost a decade and a half. Upon separating from Norwich University and the Vermont State Militia, Rivers substitute taught in Vermont at Websterville Christian Academy and Randolph Union High School until she was called to Maryland to continue in the Christian teaching ministry. Rivers has taught secondary General Science, Earth Science, Spanish I & II, Old and New Testament Surveys, and English Language and Literature.

Mrs. Darlene Williams retired from the federal government as a Senior Program Analyst in 2017 after thirty-four and a half years of service. She now serves as the Education Office Manager at Clinton Grace Christian School, where she provides administrative leadership and support for the school's academic programs.
During her tenure at the Environmental Protection Agency, Mrs. Williams oversaw acquisition, financial management, and program planning. Her expertise in policy development, budgeting, and contract management has equipped her with strong organizational and leadership skills that she now brings to the field of education.
Beyond her professional career, Mrs. Williams is deeply committed to serving her church community. She is an ordained minister and actively supports ministries such as Children's Church, Church Administration, Member Care, Bereavement Care, Women's Ministry, Intercessory Prayer, Next Steps Academic Center, and Marriage Counseling.

With over 25 years of experience in the fields of occupational safety and health, Mrs. Bowles brings a unique blend of scientific expertise and public service to the classroom. Holding a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and a Master of Science in Occupational Safety and Health Engineering, she has built a distinguished career at the intersection of science, health and workplace safety.
Mrs. Bowles has served on several national platforms, is a member of the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), National Occupational Research Agenda (NORA), Indoor Evironment Team, Coalition for Health Schools, Indoor Environmental Qualify (IEQ) and the Federal Advisory Council on Occupational Safety and Health. In these roles, she contributed to national policy and research intiatives aimed at improving occupational environments and protecting worker health for Federal, State and County public employees.
In recent years, she has transitioned into secondary education, bringing real-world scientific insight into the high school biology classroom. For the past two years, she has been dedicated to inspiring the next generation of scientists by connecting curriculum with practical applications in biology and environmental health. Driven by a passion for education and a lifelong commitment to health and safety, Ms. Bowles continues to shape minds and promote scientific literacy both inside and outside the classroom.

From there, she served as a Teacher Assistant at a public charter school in Washington, DC from 2008-2013. Since 2021, Ms. D’Abreu has worked at Clinton Grace Christian School as a Pre-K4 teacher, where she brings her passion for nurturing children’s growth academically, socially, and spiritually.
Beyond the classroom, Mrs. D’Abreu is a devoted wife to a pastor, mother of five, and youth minister at her church. Her heart for children and families shines through in her teaching, leadership and ministry, as she continues to inspire young learners to thrive in God’s purpose for their lives.

Mrs. Days received her Bachelor’s degree in Political Science with a minor in Public Administration from Winston-Salem State University in May of 1989. She attained a Master’s degree in Cybersecurity Management and Policy from the University of Maryland Global Campus in December of 2021.

Miss Lantz received her BA in Bible and Christian Education from Washington Bible College and her TH.M from American Bible College. She has been featured in Who’s Who of America’s Teachers. Her teaching career began 1979 and she has been on the staff of CGCS since 1988. She was trained by NILD, gained Level III certification, and joined the Discovery Staff for the 2007-2008 school year.

Ms. Wilson (Ms. Steph) began working for the private Christian school system in 2021. She was a Bible teacher at Rock Creek Christian Academy for two years and also became the Dean of Students.
She is certified in Infant/Toddler CPR, Adult CPR and Medication Administration and Emergency First Aid. She has also worked in hospice care.
Ms. Steph is a wife of 28 years and a mother to 6 sons and 1 daughter. She and her husband are the youth and young adult pastors at their local church. Mrs. Steph is an evangelist and also mentors at-risk youth. She joined the CGCS team in 2024 as the MS and HS girls PE and Health teacher, worked as a substitute health aide, and worked for before/aftercare.

Mrs. Garnett received her Bachelor’s degree in English from the Metropolitan State College of Denver in May of 2002, and attained her Master’s degree in Professional Writing from Towson University in May of 2007. Mrs. Garnett taught English Composition to incoming freshman at Towson University from 2007 to 2011. She also worked for the Federal Government as an editor for more than 20 years and provided grammar instruction to her coworkers in a variety of ways, including teaching English grammar to auditors from around the world.
